The typhoon “Wipha” attacked the whole city recently with strong rainstorm, bringing tough challenge to the city. Upon receiving the dangerous case from Zhangzhou Technician College on July 21: rainstorm caused backward flow of river, rapid rise of water inside campus and basement flooding, following the idea that danger is an order!, Yang Wenqing, the Deputy General Manager of the Joint Stock Company and General Manager of the Public Construction Branch, gave a response immediately and designated the first and second teams to quickly provide assistance. Upon arriving on site, Yang quickly commanded and deployed the rescue work with the college leaders: The staff inspected the pumping and drainage equipment in the basements, and lowered the water level; organized personnel to build a waterproof wall using sandbags at the entrance of the underground garage to prevent water flow; checked the circuit safety in the flood affected area to timely cut off power supply, avoid risks and prevent secondary disasters.

On July 22, the Company conducted on-site flood prevention inspections on multiple projects in the Zhangzhou area by its special inspection team, including the Yangguang Meidi Residential Area, Paris Spring Residential Area, Oriental Plaza Residential Area, Ruijingcheng Residential Area, Dushi Yangguang Residential Area, City Square, Ruijing Garden Residential Area, and South Zone of Ruijingcheng Residential Area. The inspections focused on key flood prevention links.
